Job Title: HR Manager
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Management

Summary:
The HR Manager is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the IT department. This individual will partner with IT leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the department’s goals and objectives. They will also be responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining top IT talent while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and execute HR strategies that support the IT department’s business objectives.
    • Collaborate with IT leadership to identify and address workforce planning needs.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in IT HR management.
  2. Talent Acquisition and Retention:
    • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for IT positions, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
    • Implement talent retention strategies to reduce turnover and increase employee engagement.
    • Develop and manage performance management programs for IT staff.
  3. Employee Relations:
    • Provide guidance and support to IT managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
    • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and fair manner.
    • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment within the IT department.
  4. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Ensure competitive and equitable compensation and benefits packages for IT staff.
    • Conduct salary surveys and market analyses to stay current with industry trends.
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
  5. Training and Development:
    • Identify training and development needs for IT staff.
    • Design and deliver training programs to enhance IT skills and knowledge.
    • Facilitate career development opportunities for IT employees.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in HR management, with at least 3 years in an IT environment.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and laws.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications: Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) preferred.
